We’ve noticed that some Android devices show security warnings when sharing custom domains via WhatsApp. This is an external issue between WhatsApp's security filters and certain domain providers, but we have some great workarounds to ensure your guests can access your wedding site without a hitch!
Next steps:
- Try alternative sharing. Share your link via Telegram, Email, or Facebook Messenger. These platforms typically don't trigger the same domain warnings that WhatsApp does.
- Use "QR Magic." Generate a QR code for your domain using a free external generator. You can then send the QR code image to your guests; they simply scan it to go straight to your site—no link-clicking required!
- Create a digital invite. Add your website link to a PDF or image-based invitation. Share the document via WhatsApp instead of the raw link. This keeps the presentation professional and bypasses the automatic link-scanner.
- Toggle Link Previews. On some Android devices, you can go to WhatsApp Settings > Privacy > Advanced and toggle "Disable link previews" off and then on again to reset how the app handles your URL.
